Post subject:  PFE FAILING TO START

I recently purchased this programme and have never yet been able to get it to work. I have followed all the instructions from the Manual, have downloaded FSUIPC, loaded TGS, etc. but can only get as far as PFE initializing - then nothing. Have uninstalled and re-installed to no effect.
Have a Dell Inspiron 530, Win XP SP 3, 2.33GH Core 2 duo, 996Gb HD, 3072Mb memory, NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT.
Windows Firewall OFF, Comodo Firewall set to allow operating files as suggested on Forum.
Have trawled through this Forum looking for clues, and found a reference to "debug_monitor.log"
The following is an extract from the end of this file:

12/23/2010 9:33:21 AM: 520 - Turn Connection flag ON
12/23/2010 9:33:21 AM: 770 - FS Screen : PFE Initialising...
12/23/2010 9:33:22 AM: 970 - Fatal Error in PF_Controller - Err: 339 Desc: Component 'AResize.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid Loc: 654

AResize.ocx is not on my PC. Help appreciated. KB.

Hi Dave,
After many re-installs, [15-20] I was able to do about 25 flights. The program worked for taxi out, take-off, and enroute, but usually would not give me a decent, or vectors, for and ILS approach.
I am running Vista 64
Now PFE will not start, I get the start-up window for about 1 second. ProFlight 2000 works fine.
I just re-installed the accumulative update file. [no help]
I really don't want to do a compete re-install again.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jerry in N. Ca. USA

When you instal you must turn off all other programs, especially your anti virus and any other security type programs. Also its not wise to instal into your c:\program files folder.
