Post subject: | Compile Flight Plan Error - Double or missing waypoints |
Hi, I'm facing errors in the compilation of flight plans. Here the steps I follow: 1. From PFE I convert FSDX plans to PF2000 2. Then I load the converted plans in PF2000 3. Before to compile them I go to change the altitude of some waypoints Here I see that proceeding through the waypoints with the 'Next' button, are presented to me Wpts not in the plan (tipically TOC,BOD,TOD) or others waypoints are presented twice. Overall the last waypoint of the plans is never showed. If I proceed with the compilation and then load the created ADV in PFE, I see that: 1. the before asked TOC,BOD,TOD are not present 2. the WPTs presented twice are replicated also in the ADV 3. instead of the last WPT of the original plan I have the destination airport listed twice Am I doing something wrong or what is happening here? Im using FSX SP2 - Win 7/64 - Last PFE Version Thanks and best regards Joe |

Don't do step 3 above in PF2000, there is a facility in PFE to do this called Adjust waypoint altitudes. Sorry this reply is short it's made from a phone. |

Thnaks for the prompt reply, but nothing has changed also following your suggestion: I still have duplicated waypoints and missing the last waypoint with the dest airport doubled. Best regards Joe |

Joe have you actually tried to fly the plan? Duplicates are quite normal after the flight is compiled, they aren't actually duplicates it's just the way PFE works internally. Most of the time it shouldn't be necessary to adjust waypoint altitudes, this is of course presuming that you have selected the correct aircraft profile in the PF2000 settings. Please also remember that if a plan has waypoints closer than 10 miles apart PF2000 will remove them when compiling, also do not include SIDS and STARS in the flight plan for compiling, make a separate plan with the Procedures for your aircraft and load that one in the sim and the one without procedures for PFE, that's how I do it anyway. You may have to disable off airway warnings with the above trick though. |

Thanks again. I have compiled a plan with the last waypoint 20 miles away from the airport and now it is present in the ADV (checking the other compiled plans I had them between 10 and 15). I usually do not use SID and STAR in the plans I do. Now I will test what's happening really flying the plans with the duplcated entries, but after your explanations I'm confident everything will be good (crossing my fingers) Best regards Joe |
