You need to send me the debug_monitor.log fron your ...\PDE\Logs folder because I suspect a bad installation

Hello Dave and all others,

first of all, excuse my bad english.

I post in this thread, because i have the same problem. I will first describe a bit my two flights ive done today. EDDF to LOWW. The Testflights i have done before, i also never got landing clearance from the Tower. Today in the first flight, i got the clearance to land, and then FS crashed immediately after the clearance!!! I dont think it depends on PFE. After that i started the flight again, everything went perfect, like in the flight before (except the too early descend, but thats my fault with the altitude assignments). In the Approach only one Austrian Plane was in front of me and landed. I run FS Flight Keeper and saw on the map, that this Plane vacated the runway, while i was in Final Approach. So the runway was clear. PFE told me while the Austrian was landing, i would be number two for Landing. After the runway was cleared, i hit again hotkey 5 for landing, and PFE told me to except to be number one for landing. But i never get landing clearance until i was on the ground.

Addons i run with the flights :
PMDG 737-800
FSRealTime
Serial FP VRInsight MCP
FS Screen
AISmooth
TrackIR
FS"Crew Voice Commander for PMDG737
-on the Network Computer with WideFS :
ASv6.5
FS Flight Keeper
Pro Flight Emulator

So, in conclusion, everything with PFE works fine, except the landing clearance.

Excuse the long thread, but i think the more information you get, the better.

Dave, i will send you the Dbug_monitors from this two flights to your E-Mail adress. The first flight with landing clearance named "old_debug_monitor", the second named "debug_monitor".

Thanks for your help, PFE is a great program and im convinced you can solve the problem of Chris and me!

Sebastian,

Thanks for the logs.

In both flights you should have been flying a STAR as per your setup configuration and as instructed by Approach. Did you actually get established on the ILS and contact Tower as instructed?

Hi Dave,

yes, i followed the STAR after cleared for that. But i contacted tower BEFORE i was established on the ILS. But i can remember many flights with PFE, when i contacted Tower at a point where i was fully established and i also didnt get landing clearance. In about 90% of my flights with PFE i only get told by the tower "you are number x for landing", even when there is no plane anymore on the runway.

When i should do some testflights with special settings, let me know, no problem. But with this problem im a bit confused, no idea what it could be. As i said, everything else with PFE works fine.

A little bit offtopic: is there any chance for future updates to add some functionality to the STAR feature? Something like that the user can define STARs like now, but with the option that PFE decides randomly if it will give you the STAR clearance or to give you Vectors. Would be more exciting in approach when i dont know what awaits me. Perhaps there could be three options : one like now, when i define STARs and turn on the Option, i will definitely get a STAR approach. The other could be like i said before, a random option, STAR or Vectors, and the third could be definitely Vectors with no STAR. Just an idea i wanted to let you know.

So thanks for your help, and let me know if theres a solution of my landing clearance problem!

Open the task manager go into processes and set PFE to "above normal" after you have opened and loaded the sim plus any other ancilliary programme.

That is exactly what I have been doing after quite a few frustratng flights. I don't know what kind rigs you guys are using but I am running a very low end machine that is being pushed way past it's limits and that little fix works very well.

Ok, i will check this option out in a test flight and post the result. But only for information, i will be in holidays until tomorrow for 1 1/2 weeks, so the reply-post could take some time until i am back home.

Thanks for your help!
