Post subject: | PFE Database Rebuild FAILED! |
Hi, When connecting PFE to FSX, an error message pops up saying "PFE Database Rebuild FAILED!..." and PFE failed to connect. I tried rebuilding the database (from Options #1) again and PFE said that the rebuild was successful. But when connecting to FSX, the same error message pops up. I use MakeRwys 4.29, FSX SP2, PFE 2.11.1 (updated via manual installation method) with Voice Set Expansion Pack and XPack2. Also, I havn't experienced this problem before installing Voice Set Expansion Pack and XPack2. I was asked to try "How to rectify a suspected bad installation" after installing Voice Set Expansion Pack and another time for XPack2. So, I did it. Now, I did it again for the above specified problem too. But, it still doesn't work! I have Radar Contact 4.3 installed too, which I was using before I installed PFE. Does that create any problem? Check in your PFE/Data folder for the following files which should each be dated when you last ran the rebuild:- PFE_FS?_Freq.dat PFE_FS?_Gates.dat PFE_FS?_Runways.dat PFE_FS?_Taxilink.dat Do you have each of these files? Are are all dated the same and roughly the same time? |

Yes, I have all the files stated above. PFE_FSX_TaxiLink.dat has a different time(21:02). The other three files have the same time(02:17). Also, all the four files have the same date(29 May 2009). |

Okay, there was a problem then creating the Taxilink file. Please email me the DBRebuild2.log file from the PFE\Logs folder |

Hello Dave, first of all, thank you very much for your continuing development and support of your Products! I use PFE now for every flight, and since Version 2 it is a great program. 2 Questions: As i read this topic, i checked my PFE_FS?_ Files, and found that all the Files were the same date, but not time. All files have 11:45, but the Taxilink File has 12:01. Is this in the Range, when you say "roughly" the same Time? And second, in the Updates Folder i have read the File "version 2.11.0", it says: 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - AutoUpdates Log Started 25.04.2009 16:40:58 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - Parameters received: ver:2.11.0 cfurl:http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/pfe_updates/ cf:pfe2_updates.ini noupdates:1 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - Parameters extracted:- 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - Version : 2.11.0 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - ControlFileURL : http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/pfe_updates/ 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - ControlFileName: pfe2_updates.ini 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - UpdatesFileUrl : http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/pfe_updates/ 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - ShowResults : True 25.04.2009 16:40:58 - Get Control File... 25.04.2009 16:41:00 - Filesize to download: 3622 25.04.2009 16:41:01 - Control File download complete... 25.04.2009 16:41:01 - Validating the Control File for Version: 2.11.0 25.04.2009 16:41:01 - Validation No Updates Document Name 'UpdatesDetail' entry! 25.04.2009 16:41:01 - New updates for PFE found... 25.04.2009 16:41:04 - User confirms update PFE from version: 2.11.0 to version: 2.11.1 25.04.2009 16:41:04 - Start downloading actual updates... 25.04.2009 16:41:04 - Filesize to download: 710501 25.04.2009 16:41:20 - Download of updates complete... 25.04.2009 16:41:20 - Unzip downloads... 25.04.2009 16:41:20 - Unzip complete... 25.04.2009 16:41:23 - Shutdown Process: pf_emulator.exe... 25.04.2009 16:41:23 - Updated: H:\Programme\Aerosoft\PFE\pf_emulator.exe 25.04.2009 16:41:23 - Updated: H:\Programme\Aerosoft\PFE\help\Version_History.pdf 25.04.2009 16:41:25 - Start Process: H:\Programme\Aerosoft\PFE\pf_emulator.exe 25.04.2009 16:41:25 - Show Process... 25.04.2009 16:41:25 - Do NOT wait for process to end... 25.04.2009 16:41:26 - Remove temp installation files... 25.04.2009 16:41:26 - Remove H:\Programme\Aerosoft\PFE\updates\pfe2_updates.ini 25.04.2009 16:41:26 - Remove H:\Programme\Aerosoft\PFE\updates\pfe2_updates5.zip 25.04.2009 16:41:26 - Remove H:\Programme\Aerosoft\PFE\updates\PF_Emulator.exe 25.04.2009 16:41:26 - Remove H:\Programme\Aerosoft\PFE\updates\Version_History.pdf 25.04.2009 16:41:26 - Updates complete. Your files seem up to date. As for the control file... don't worry... 2.11.1 is the latest version |
