Well everyone loves a nice algorithm, no? :? Not sure if there will be any further updates now (?), but what would be nice is if PF3 would not allow the same voice to be used for the pilot and ATC at any given time. It used to be rare, but it happens a lot now. It's always a bit disconcerting

:)

The same for "you" the pilot and ATC you are speaking to? I have never heard that - curious indeed. The only thing I hear, and that is only occasionally, is another aircraft using the same voice as myself, but that isn't really an issue as the other aircraft has a measure of radio background which makes it quite distinct.

There is an option to disable specific voices under Options 2 > Exclude Specific Voices. Its worth a try - but if it excludes your pilot voice as well its not, er, going to achieve anything useful . . .

Hope that helps,

John

Hi. Yes, the ATC voice and the pilot are sometimes exactly the same, to weird effect. It's not that rare either (though 'it happens a lot' was an exaggeration!). It seems to happen to any voice, randomly, so excluding one voice set wouldn't help.

I did point this out once before, some time back, and Dave M. commented 'yes, it sometimes happens', so he knows about it at least. Maybe there's nothing to be done about it, since he didn't comment further (though, as I say, I'd be surprised if that were so); he usually does fix stuff that is fixable.
