Hi Dave,

Tonight I had a repeat of a previous issue where I lost all communication to/from PF3. It happened after I received clearance for the ILS Approach and had been told to contact the tower when established.

My VCP tuned to the tower frequency but no contact made and the hotkeys stopped working. It looks like the program froze.

Debug log attached in the hope you can throw some light on this.

Cheers,
Bob

Hi Bob,

Very strange... according to the log there was indeed a period of almost 8 minutes where nothing happened, until you disconnected from FS.

I'm really baffled and can't explain why or how this could happen. What's even stranger is, if PF3 was really hanging then how were you able to disconnect? As the last log entry above shows you confirmed you wanted to disconnect. I wonder had you selected 'No' if things would have continued as normal. This is most certainly not the issue you had before and that was fixed in a previous beta.

All I can suggest is if this does happen again try selecting disconnect and then when asked to confirm, select No. I'd be very interested to see what happens. Either way, please do report any further issues like this.

Hi Dave,

I've just had the same issue on approach to EGPH.

After I landed and taxied to the gate I tried to disconnect from PF3 and said "No" when prompted as you suggested. However, after doing this PF3 was still not responding. I got a Windows message saying the program was not responding when I tried to shut it down and I had to close PF3 using the "close program" option.

I've attached the log to see if that tells you anything.

Cheers,
Bob

Hi Bob, This particular issue was caused by TGS. I had updated it quite some time ago but haven't issued it with the latest betas.

Thanks Dave,

Will you be including an updated TGS in the next release or is there a copy already in existence that I can download?

Cheers,
Bob

Hi Dave,

Super efficient as always! Thanks very much for that.

Cheers,
Bob

P.S. Any news on the altimeter issue raised in the 139 Beta section?

Still looking into it but I've had a couple of days where I've been a little under the weather and not very productive... plus being locked out of my own forum, which took some time to correct. Anyway, looking at it again today.

Very much appreciated Dave. I don't know how you manage to respond so quickly to all the posts on this forum - all credit to you.

Thanks for all your hard work.

Cheers,
Bob
