Hi,
Recently, I've had a curious experience with these updates:
1. Open PF3 v 3.20.0. Updater - New version 3.21.0 available. Download now? Yes.
2. Download starts and completes. Do you want to proceed. Yes.
3. You must select the main folder before .....,,,, this update can continue. OK.
4. Next instant a message appears - PF3 update complete - Restart PF3? Yes.
5. PF3 appears as before. Version 3.20.0 - Updates Checked.

This is happening every day, and as always, PF3 is operating perfectly for me. I'm just puzzled.

Regards, Jim

Hi Jim,

Please can you upload the PF3-Updater.log, from the same Logs folder where you find the debug_monitor.log - that should help us with this.

Thanks,
Martin

Hi Jim, do you run the PF3 with elevated Admin rights? i.e. Right-click on PF3.exe and select 'Run as Administrator'

Hi Dave,
I cancelled "Run as Administrator" and started PF3, with the same Udater result as before.

Regards, Jim

The best thing for you to do for now JIm, until we can figure this out, is to simply download and manually install the latest cumulative updates package from the Maintenance Release post at the top of this forum.

Same is happening with me.
Just had new machine built (i9-12K,4070ti GPU etc) so it was a clean install.
All windows updates installed along with those to make PF3 work (Direct X9c etc)
PF3 is run as Administrator and when i start it always tells me it's upto date.
If i press on "Check for Updates" button all i get is a spinning icon and nothing happens.
I'm running latest maintenance release and latest Beta V3.21.39.
PF3 works as it should...just the updates button appears to be disconnected from updating or telling me it is upto date....strange as it worked ok until recently,

Hi Dave,

I'm not sure exactly why this is - please can you upload the PF3-Updater.log and PF3-Updater-old.log from the Logs folder so I can see what's going on.

Thanks,
Martin
