Post subject:  Repetitious "Contact Center..."

In the middle of my last flight I got a constant succession of "contact salt lake center on 124.45" when within the reach of the 124.35 center frequency as displayed on the PF3 Web Display app. (During this whole time, the 124.35 row on PF3 Web Display didn't highlight green as it should when you are in contact with the particular frequency, as would be expected.) This whole issue did not end until finally reaching the salt lake 128.35 reach.

The only thing I can reason from this is that the KPDX departure frequency (my departure airport) was also 124.35. I tried manually tuning 124.35 (as PF3 Web Display said it should be) and instead still contacted departure. It seems having a duplicate frequency along a route might cause this to happen?

I had this phenomenon occur at least once before recently but didn't notice the potential correlation until this flight.

Has anybody else seen this?

I'll leave Dave to comment on the repetitive "contact salt lake center on 124.45" issue, but I will take a look at Web Display to make sure that it handles duplicate frequencies in the correct way.

Thanks,
Martin

Hi Chris,

Yes it was definitely a clash between two frequencies, which I then change on the fly. However, it would appear that after doing so I've missed a flag somewhere to prevent the repetition. I will take another look at the code later today.

Just checked the code and I have already (hopefully) fixed this issue and it will be in the next release, although it's in the latest beta if you wish to try that
