Hi Dave,
just a little one for you.
As you know i do alot of Trans Atlantic flights and today i encountered a small niggle.
Approaching Ireland i was under Shanwick Oceanic and was told to contact Shannon Control on 127.50,as i had message log it displayed the frequency, nothing happened... i had to manually tune radio to continue, this happened on another flight outbound recently again across the pond, you need to look at log about 1605 onwards...think it was about 1615 not sure on exact time.
Running latest Beta version,

Regards Dave

I have seen similar problems with cross-pond Oceanic flights, but your log shows something very strange - the relevant lines are in the attached file.

For some reason the VCP seems to have retuned the radio to the Shannon Control frequency (127.50) *before* you reached the waypoint at 55N 10W.
You were almost immediately told to retune to Shanwick Oceanic on 127.50 - the wrong frequency, it should have been 123.95

Things then proceeded 'normally' until you actually passed 55N 10W, at which point you were 'reminded' to contact Shannon control again.

I'm sure that Dave will be able to throw more light on this when he gets a moment.

Cheers,
Martin

Similar flight as before, except this one is JFK to LHR.
At about 1815 on log will show you what happened, again had to manually tune and hit 1 to activate Shannon Control.

I can see from the log that you are having the same sort of issues that I have been experiencing for a while when using VCP2 across the Pond.
Definitely one for Dave to look into when he can.

Cheers,
Martin

As far as I can see from the log you manually tuned to 127.50 148 miles too early!

Dave, unless I'm missing something here... which is more than likely ;-) ... you did the same thing.

When your position report was rogered, on reaching WP 13 (5420N) you received

(13/09/2023 18:15:23: 490 - Transcript: ' Roger Virgin 1467 54 North 20 West Flight Level 370 at 54 North 15 West Contact Shannon Control on 127.5 '

54 North 15 West is WP 14 (DOGAL), at which point you should tune to and contact Shannon Control on 127.5. However, just about 1 minute later you manually tuned to 127.50 when you still had 164 miles to go to WP 14 (DOGAL) and contacted Shannon Control.

Obviously the problem here is PF3 should NOT allow you to make contact with SC when you're so far away so that is something I will have to look into.

Dave,
I'll explain a bit better what happened.
All was okay until reaching Shannon Control, got told to tune 127.50 as per log, nothing actually happened and as i use logitech radio panel i waited for PF3 to tune com1 and it didn't...so i then had to manually tune the radio to freq to carry on coms, once i tuned it.... PF3 did the rest.
It appears to be broken at that point, will try with 3.20.0 instead of beta 3.20.5 to see if that is the cause and get back to you, wont be until later on in week,
