Opinion: Its the reapeted "please" that sounds bad...
Also, the repeated "please" sounds a bit weird.

Hi Dave,

Any progress on the option to have the captain NOT call-out the four take-off commands? (He still says "Auto pilot on, please" TWICE during each take-off)...Thanks,

lee

Hi Lee,

Sorry but no. It's always the smaller things that take me the longest to get around to addressing... plus I've been busy with a lot of domestic chores with the change (almost) to summer.

Will check it out asap

Dave, if this isn't a good time to ask, just let know (in a subtle way!)... :? Lee

Take a look at the post at the top of the forum entitled "Unavailable" :)

Dave, Dave--I'm sinking; sinking slowly, but steadily off the opening forum screen, soon to be relegated to virtual obscurity...Please, don't let it happen without some small sign of optimism that someday FDC users will be able to switch this feature off, if they wish...We await your judgment... ;)

"The lights are on, but there's nobody home"...

Dave, your many FDC Auto Pilot users are peeking in the AP window, but we don't see anyone home...We hope this topic request has not been allowed to vaporize in virtual obscurity...Please tell us there is reason to cling to some slight hope it might someday happen... ;)

Dave,

In the interest of full disclosure, I do not seem to be getting the "auto pilot on, please" message (and a second message repeated over the top of the first) with every FDC flight. I'm using the same panel, but different aircraft.

Let me experiment a bit and see what happens. The flights I saved awhile back, and which were the basis of this thread, still have that repeating effect; but some of the newer flights (same panel--different aircraft) do not have the FDC captain making any kind of auto pilot verbal order, even when the "auto pilot on" box is checked in the Profile option...

I'll keep trying different combinations and let you know...
