I didn't manage to connect the control tower

I don't think that you will find Remote Text difficult to use; once you have set it up you simply need to start remotetext.exe each time you run PF3.
You need to set Use Closed Caption mode (top right in Options #1), and Use Remote Text (top left in Options #2, Advanced Options) for it to work.
Please come back if you have any problems using Remote Text.
