I purchased and activated PF3
I purchased and activated PFEtoXplane
I downloaded and installed XPUIPC (XPWideClient)

When I try to set a path for a flighplan file I can't chose Xplane but FS2020, P3d, FS2004 or FSX only. (which one should I choose?)
I saved a .fpl file in a folder created by me, next I pointed PF3 to this folder, when I click "open" the following error messages pop up:

Error:13 - Desc: Type mismatch in PopulatePlans at Loc: 220

and

There was a problem whilst processing this flight plan!
Please report the issue on the PF3 support forum at ....
...
FPP Error!

Could't find a solution on manual or FAQ.

Any idea?

Thank you

Stefano Furlanis

I would say that because PFEtoXplane regards XPlane as FSX you could put your flight plans in the FSX folder. It really doesn't matter where you put them provided PF3 knows where to find them

Thank you Dave,

2 problems here:

1) I don't have FS X (neither I have P3D or FS2004 or MSFS)

2) I did point PF3 to a folder I created containing a .fpl file and selected the file. That generated the error messages I reported above.

Additionally, the "Connect to FS" button is grayed out.

XPwideClient reports: Server lost

Any idea?

Your flight plan needs to be in one of the MSFS formats eg FS9, FSX, etc

It should also be named .PLN

The flightplan i created is in .pln format and it's an FS-x format.
So that's not the problem.

By the many error messages I'm getting even before selecting a flightplan It's clear to me that the file i'm using and/or it's location are not the problem here.

I'm more prone to believe that internet connection is. Possibly the IP Address.

I'm altering the config file of XPUIPC to reflect my hotel's IP address for example for it to start working.

Maybe there is something else I should do to get all 4 components to work together (X-Plane 11, XPUIPC, PFEtoXP, PF3)

Cheers

Apparently this forum doesn't allow .pln attachements:

The extension pln is not allowed.
The upload was rejected because the uploaded file was identified as a possible attack vector.
