Hi All I am so hoping this software gives a more immersive experience than the std ATC. Having installed everything (I think by the book) I have no sound whatsover even from ATIS. I have read thorugh the manual FAQ and support threads with similar issues but all the fixes don't appear to work for me. I have installed 3 different versions of DirectX as Admin and run PF3 as admin. It connects to FS OK and works as far as setting frequencies and seeing it responding in PF3_Displayer. I have also remapped the zero key to nothing as a new keyboard profile and still no sound. I have messed around with various setting inside the sim but as I read it this doesn't make any difference apart from the sound level down to zero for MSFS ATC. What am I missing? I have attached the log files and for info this is on Windows 11. |

The reason you're not hearing anything is because your master avionics switch is OFF! Either that or you're using an a/c that it's not being detected correctly. Please see below, taken from the version history document which can be found in you PF3\Help folder for suture reference • FIXED a problem if you turned the master avionics off you could still hear radio coms from AI traffic, etc. Now, If you turn avionics off mid-way through a transmission it will be truncated. However, please do not report things like 'I quickly turned it back on again but didn't here the rest of the instructions' because it doesn't work like that. In PF3, once the audio buffer is filled and playing, if you turn avionics off we simply erase the buffer. There's no buffer restart available. So yes, it's easy to mess this up. Primarily this change has been put in place (following a user request) to allow those shutting down systems at the end of their flight not to hear any ATC/AI traffic chat, which was of course a little unrealistic. • Please Note: Some MSFS aircraft seem to have an problem with their Master Avionics not showing up as being 'On' when starting from Cold &PF3 – ATC at its best Version History Dark. Everything appears to work when starting with the engines running. When this happens PF3 detects Avionics are off. Should this be a problem for you there's a new option under Options #2 / Advanced Options / COMs, named 'Ignore Avionics Switch'. When selecting this new option PF3 will consider your Avionics are ON at all time and will not detect them being turn off. |

Thanks for the prompt response, yes indeed it was the 'ignore avionics switch' which did it. Not suer I would have found that ![]() Having just had a demo flight I can see that it is way better than the stock ATC and it even loads a Marke Place airport Cheers |

Thank you for letting us know. Remember though to rebuild the pf3 database whenever you add a new airport or scenery file to fs |
