| Hi I tried a flights from ESGP (Gothenburg) to ESMS (Malmo) and the other way round, but in both cases when I reached the runway holding point I did not get any ATC instructions for takeoff. If I clicked the 0 key I just got taxi from gate instructions again. I have not had this problem with the larger airports in the U.K. or Europe. I am running MSFS on Windows 10 and both are up to date. I had just updated the Makerunways data using v5.1.2 so new MSFS version of this program. The ESGP airport is the MSFS version and the ESMS one is the ORBX version. Has anyone else had this problem? Regards Andrew |

| If you don't get handed off to the Tower when reaching the active runway holding point, just tune to it manually and hit hotkey #6 to inform them you're ready for departure. If there's no ground controller at your point of departure, so you're already tuned to Tower, just hit hotkey #6 when you reach the active runway. |

| Manually dialing tower and using the "ready for takeoff" hotkey(6 by default) is a great way to use other runways for takeoff...for example when at Los Angeles and given taxi clearance to the furthest possible runway I some will just taxi to the runway that makes sense...manually tune...and report ready. Yes, you'll get a clearance for the runway you were assigned but I consider that a minor break in immersion for the sake of saving 9 hours of taxi time. (I know...slight exaggeration - it's only 8.5 hours but you get my point). |

You can also request a different departure runway without too much trouble using C/S/W as you pointed out in your other post, and then you will be departing from the runway that matches your clearance. |
