When I tick the "Final App Speed" checkbox on the Options #2 Advanced settings, it generally seems to only apply to that PF3 session. When I start another session (usually different day or after a reboot, the setting will again be unticked. Often I don't remember to check this prior to a flight and get another surprise when I'm asked to decelerate to 140 kts sometimes before I've even begun to plan decels. For instance, I just set it again: Is there anything you are aware of that I may be doing to cause this? I don't set a speed preset in the flight plan selection, and I don't recall ever having this problem in the past (prior to current PC). Thanks! |

Certainly seems to be working fine here... setting is remembered after exiting and restarting PF3 Are you using PF3 profiles by any chance and maybe choosing a profile where that setting has not be configured? |

Sorry it took me so long to respond... I'm not using profiles, but most of the time that setting seems to be forgotten, apparently between sessions. I suspect it's something I'm doing, but I don't know what. In the meantime, I'm considering just backing up PF3.ini and making adding a batch script to my SimStarter run routine that just replaces PF3.ini from the backup. ![]() I'll post my settings in case anything jumps out at you: Options #1: Options #2: Flight Plan: |

Forum only allows 3 attachments per post, so here's the 4th attachment showing the "Profiles" dialog: |

Be interested in the results of this one. I seem to experience the same deal. A 777 doesn't like slowing down to 140kts when loaded heavy. -Rick |

Just a side comment . . . I get round this issue another way without using either profiles or that setting. I am on FS9 but I think this will apply across most FS versions. In the aircraft.cfg file for each aircraft there is an entry under [Reference Speeds] for "flaps_up_stall_speed". This is what it says, a reference - it has no effect on how the aircraft behaves in the simulator. Change the setting to the lowest speed that the aircraft can descend at, e.g: flaps_up_stall_speed=180 PFE uses this figure for the speeds it instructs you, and won't nag you if you are (in the above example) descending at around 190 or slower. Always edit with a plain text editor (e.g.Notepad) and keep a backup of the original in case of faux-pas. It may take a while to set each of your aircraft up this way, but once done it is a case of "set and forget" and you can use your different aircraft without configuring each time. Hope this helps, John |

Sorry for the delay in getting this uploaded. It only seems to erase the setting after connecting to the sim - as in, if I load PF3, change the setting, then quit, it'll persist into the next session. Logs1 is a zip of my logs folder after saving the setting. Logs2 is after running a flight. |
