Read this in the manual:

"Final App Speed is the minimum final approach speed ATC will give
you during your final approach. With this option turned OFF (not
selected) the Final Approach Speed defaults to 190 knots for jet
aircraft and 140 for props. With this option selected and the adjacent
value set to zero PF3 uses the Flaps-Up-Stall-Speed read from your
Aircraft.CFG file.
"

Being I run PF3 on a networked system will it STILL read the aircraft.cfg file? The folder where the file is stored is shared (both the ones stored in the root and the documents folder). Seems it slows me down to 170kts 20nm out. Approach distance is set to 12nm. FAP is not selected in Advance tweaks.

Hi,

Check to see if you have an approach speed specified in the presets (on the right side of the page where you select the flight plan to load). If you have a preset approach speed specified when loading the flight plan it will override anything in Advanced Options.

In addition to Dan's reply, please let us see a log file Rick when you have this issue

Dan: I don't run with any presets. Everything is default except for enhanced control centers.

Dave: Flying a flight here in a minute and I'll see what happens and let you know.
