Hey Dave,

I think this was brought up in a previous thread but I can't seem to find it. The issue is lately once taxi instructions are given, TGS goes active and then once I've moved maybe 100 to 200 feet or so, TGS says I've reached the holding point even though I'm still practically at parking. Can't say when this started occurring but for me it has been going on for over a month. I've attached my last 2 flight log files. I'm running FSX.

Thanks Again for the support,

Tony J

Hey Dave,

Just checking to see if anyone on your team has found any anomalies in my logs for the referenced issue.

Hi Tony,

I really don't know how I missed this one... another senior moment I guess... I'll take a look at your logs now but we did have some TGS issues which have now (hopefully) been addressed... a new version is very imminent and we're just doing some final testing

Dave,

Still having an issue with TGS activating and then deactivating after taxiing approx 100'. Updated to the latest release and I'm running FSX.
Latest logs attached.

Hi Tony, the attached log is apparently from last year:

3/31/2021 8:56:03 AM: 440 - PF3 Started... 2021033132163:7931 - ET7H5WK5EHS7AK5W - JETLINE-3300
3/31/2021 8:56:03 AM: 440 - PF3 Version: 3.10.25
3/31/2021 8:56:03 AM: 440 - FS Version: FSX
3/31/2021 8:56:03 AM: 440 - FSUIPC Version: 4.939G

I have tested 3.15.12 with FSX and TGS seems to now be working perfectly for me - I too was having TGS issues before.

Regards,
Martin

Wow!!! My bad I actually had a .rar file with very similar names and exact date from last year. What are the odds!!! Here is the correct log file.

I think I 'might' know what the problem is. Do you change your VCP mode shortly after getting taxi instructions and if so would that be about the time TGS stops?

Dave,

It may be possible. I normally start off with VCP off. Once I get taxi clearance TGS activates. I then have a taxi checklist script through MCE and one of the things it does is switches to mode one. I'll do a test to check that out and report back.

Thanks,

Tony J

Dave,

Just did a quick test and indeed that was what the problem was. Is there a time limit between TGS is activated and when I should switch between modes to prevent the conflict? It's not a big deal as I can move to mode one later during taxi, but I did not wanting TGS to deactivate till it got me to the runway of choice.

Thanks again

Tony J
