When is the best time for using an CRTL+SHIFT+W on departure. I find that when I issue ground 0 command, I get the departure runway assigned by ATC and then co pilot reply by repeating the ATC, but if I want to request a different runway, I only have a fraction of a second to issue an CRTL+SHIFT+W. A lot of time I get a "skip the next taxi way". When is the proper time to ask for a different runway? Is there a option to allow more time to use CRTL+SHIFT+W for a different runway request.

Thanks

Pierre nantel

If you've just received your taxi instructions and TGS has started, just hit hotkey #1 to stop TGS then hit C\S\W to request another runway

On your setup you may just need to hit the 1 key to toggle TGS off, but as Dave said if TGS is active, the Ctrl+Shft+W key sequence has a different function (skip to next taxi point) so you need to toggle TGS off before requesting another runway.
