Some of you may have noticed that the PF3 3.13 update included a new piece of software, PF3 WEB Display; it is installed in a directory 'PF3_WEB_Display' under 'PF3_Displayer'. This is a free add-on that I have developed in response to requests for a version of PF3 Display for iOS & Android devices. When the program PF3WebDisplay is executed it links to the PF3 Display port and starts a web server that can be accessed using most standard web browsers; this means that an equivalent to PF3 Display can be shown on virtually any networked device, independent of the operating system. Unfortunately the first couple of users discovered an issue that I hadn't seen during several months of development and testing. If you are interested in trying the software please see details here: http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/forums/vie ... php?t=3866 Please log any bug reports or feedback to the PF3 WEB Display Support forum that Dave has kindly set-up for this purpose. Cheers, Martin |

Version 1.1.2 of Web Display (WebD) was provided as part of the PF3 3.15.0 update; it includes several new features: i) A valid, currently tuned frequency will be highlighted in the frequency tables. ii) WebD will prompt you to retune to a new frequency during a Center handover. iii) WebD can be configured to ‘dial’ an ATC frequency by clicking on any entry in the frequency tables; this is optional and is disabled by default. iv) WebD can be displayed using an in-game panel under MSFS 2020 as it uses browser-based technology. Full details of these changes can be found in the PDF document that accompanies the release. Please log any issues in the PF3 Web Display Support forum. Cheers, Martin |

Post subject: | UNC paths |
Hey Dave, does web display support UNC paths? I'd like to use my computer name (STREAMINGPC) instead of the IP address. That possible? Thanx! -Rick |

Hi Rick, If you mean can you use a computer name in the URL used to access Web Display from the browser, then 'Yes, you can' - e.g. http://STREAMINGPC:7339/ Please come back to me if I've misunderstood your question. Cheers, Martin (PF3 Web display developer) |
