Either I missed something at one point or its just working too many hours and lack of sleep. I had V3.79 running and saw there was a 3.9 update. I tried the update button and sait it was up to date.
The link at Aerosoft sent me to avsim which sent me here. I used the accumulitave update and it threw me back to V 3.12.
This post threw me another loop viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32

where it says "If you are currently using version 3.3 or later (which you certainly should be) and have the auto-updates feature turned on you should get the updates next time you run FDC. If you chose not to use this automatic feature (or have already used FDC today) please use the UPDATES button from the main menu."

So the update throws the progam version number backwards to a lower number? :?:

Software version numbering isn't the same, 3.1.2 is what you are thinking of, 3.12 is a higher version number than 3.9

i.e. its version three point twelve, which is greater than three point nine I'm sure you will agree.

3 is the major version number

9 and 12 are the build numbers, build numbers can go up to whatever the developer see's fit, some build numbers from some developers can go as high as the tens of thousands.
