Has anyone had the following -Error 6 "FDC aborted-"overflow in checkactualsettings routine " ? I,m afraid this is happening everytime i try to use FDC with PDMG 744, any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I'm using FS9 with the PMDG 744 under Windows XP SP3

I've installed the latest FDC SP 3.12 and the problem still persists.

Make sure you have the auto pilot type set to 'third party' in the performance file when using PMDG aircraft

I'm using Dave Leesley's PMDG 744 profile. I checked to make sure this option was chosen and it was...

Hi,
i have just done a test flight with the PMDG 747 profile to make sure i hadn't altered anything and i can safely say it works 100%,no errors at all ;)

When did that error occur?

What version of FSUIPC are you using?

The error seems to have started when FS9 had a CTD on approach to KJFK on a flight (with the PMDG 744F) from Lima Peru. As far as the FSUIPC version it's v3.90...

The New York area has always been a problem for me with CTD's. I uninstalled and reinstalled FDC (latest version) and the problem still persists.

Hi,
Latest version of FSUIPC is 3.98a dated 4th March (haven't checked yet to see if another version is out) and obviously you should have latest version of FDC being 3.12.
See how you get on...

Updated FSUIPC to the latest version '3.98a' and still the same issue. There's no problem with any other aircraft just the PMDG 744F (or PMDG 744 in general). I'm trying to do a flight from SPIM to KBOS and it's just not working out (maybe it's the route). I got FDC to work with the PMDG 744F by not loading a flight plan and starting from the cargo area of PHLI. I had loaded FDC with another aircraft first then reverted back to the 744F. I'll try again to see if there's something to this.

FDC doesn't know anything about flight plans so loading one or not will not make any difference.

Try using one of the default checklist and if that works it HAS to be the actual checklist you're using

I've tried both the default 767 and 744 checklist and it's still the same issue. For the record since you guys programmed all the various faults. What exactly would cause an Error 6 fault. It would be a great place to look if I knew what would cause this fault in the first place.
