Hi Dave

Hopefully a very quick question ... I've scoured the manual and played around with the various options in PF3 but can't for the life of me remember how to get the display that shows the most recent ten or so ATC comms. I only seem to get the latest message which is then over-written when new comms happen. I had to uninstall PF3 recently and I'm sure I could do that before, I just can't remember how to get it back again now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Mike

Coincidentally Dave just answered a question regarding the ATC Log:

viewtopic.php?p=22375#p22375

You can configure the window to open when you make a 'Say Again' request, or check 'Show Log on Connect' to have it open as soon as you connect PF3 to the sim.

Interesting.

I did try that but didn't get a window! Maybe it needed a restart or something similar. I'll give it a try later.

Thanks for the reply.

OK. Good news and bad news.

The good news is that I found the 'Recent ATC Communications' window. The bad news is that I can only see it hidden behind the PF3 icon on the task bar! When I hover over the PF3 icon, it shows two windows, the PF3 opening screen and a blank 'Recent ATC Communications' screen but there is no way (that I have found yet) to activate the ATC window. I can't even close it by pressing the x button on it. It's just like a small white screen with the 'Recent ATC Comm' heading at the top.

It sounds like it might be more of an issue with my PC than anything else but do you have any ideas of how to get it working?

I managed to get a quick screen grab showing just the task bar so you can see what it looks like.

Thanks
Mike

Sorry ... forgot the log file!

I've just attached a short log file of starting PF3 and having a couple of comms with Ground and then ending just as a test of the ATC Comms.

One other thing I've just noticed is that when I hover over the title of blank screen preview, the 'Last Msg' time was updated after the comms so I guess it's doing something although not visible.

Thanks again.

Mike

Looks like a PF3 positional windows issue... double click on the main menu OnCourse Software picture and reset PF3 windows

Hi Dave

Thanks for your reply. I've tried that but no change I'm afraid. It's still stuck behind the PF3 icon on the taskbar. I don't even get the option to move it like you would normally expect to be able to do. It seems unresponsive to anything.

Cheers

Mike

Ah, just remembered, that window's position is held in the registry.

If you're happy using RegEdit just navigate to

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VB and VBA Program Settings\PF3 - ATC at its best\frmATC

Then delete the entry LastSavedState

Restart PF3 and you should be good to go

Thanks Dave

I've made the registry changes ... just waiting for the MSFS update to complete (might be a few hours yet  ) and then I'll let you know how I get on.

Cheers

Mike
