Post subject: | FS2020 randomly changing transponder codes |
Hi All, I took a break for a a couple of months and after the MSFS updates, I have flow 4 times, twice in the TBM and twice in the CJ4, and both IFR flights I get multiple "XXX check transponder" msgs from ATC. After this I started noticing the transponder code chainging on it's own. I don't think it's PF3 that is causing it, and I have a pretty vanilla install of FS2020. Anyone heard of this? Thanks Bruce "Stratoboomer" Leehan |

Check to be sure you have ATC Assist disabled in MSFS. This can cause the transponder and radios to change unexpectedly when using PF3. |

Hi Dan, Thank you!But I just checked and all the assists are off...could it be "on" inside a config file somewhere? Driving me nuts... Bruce |

I don't use MSFS so can't be of much help but you may want to post your debug log here and maybe the timing of the change will give Dave some clue as to what is going on. Certainly sounds like it is something other than PF3. |

It's certainly not PF3 as we only change the transponder when instructed by atc. There has been several issues reported with radios being changed without any explanation in the SIM. I think you would get a lot more help if you ask the question on the MSFS forum though. |
