Hopefully this is a trivial one to attend to . . .

When getting towards the destination runway, I sometimes find myself a bit high for approach and requests a lower altitude with L + 1. But sometimes Mr Butterfingers here seems to get it wrong and only the 1 registers - "request cleared to finals at pilot's discretion". Not really wanting that, I press key 7 "request vectors".

ATC always responds "unable to at this time" which isn't the end of the world if he wants to be a miserable toad, but here's the odd thing - you DO then get vectors.

So I'm thinking he is coded in error to give the wrong answer. Log attached.

While I am here (cough!) there is another message you sometimes hear that seems to be partially wrong:
"When ready descend to xxxxx when ready"
Do you need a log to sort that? Can provide next time I hear it if required.

John

Re your last issue, I have corrected that ready for the next release. Regarding your first point, do you really want me to correct that? :D

Unless you are going to tell me otherwise, it is the wrong response from ATC. If it can be fixed it would be appreciated. It confused me, so it could confuse others too.

Thanks for the No2 fix.

John

No, the response was correct.... the resulting vectors were not!

Oh. OK. I'm a bit puzzled by that but it is perhaps best left as it is then so I can cover my mistakes. . I will try and keep the butter of my fingers in future.

Thanks for doing the other change, appreciated.

John
