Is it possible to run remote radio stack on the same PC as PF3? Every time I try I get a run time error 13, type mismatch. Am trying the demo.

If not, anyone know of a similar app I can use on the PC?

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can. Please right click the radio stack EXE and let me know which version is running and I'll check it out... Could be I messed up the update!

Please download the latest demo, using the same link you received via email. It was updated yesterday

The only time I can get it to throw that error is when FS is not running. I see by your pic you don't have FS running either. You can't set any radio frequencies if FS is not running. I will obviously trap for such a scenario and provide a meaningful message but in the meantime please run FS first or at least run it BEFORE you click on SET

Tks Dave, indeed it does change the freq when the sim is running. However, when I dial in a new freq in stby of comm1 the freq changes in the GNS but the info box in the radio stack then goes blank (screenie attached). How do I then dial in another freq in comm1? If I change the standby freq and hit set again I get the error. Sorry to be a pain.

I'm going to need a detailed step-by-step of what you're actually doing prior to this error occurring if I going to have any chance of recreating it because it works just fine here.

When you select SET the current frequency will move over to the standby slot and then current display will momentarily change to ---.-- until the sim updates and then the Remote Stack reads the frequency from the sim and refreshes itself.

Dave
1. Start MSFS.
2. Start FSUIPC.
3. Once aircraft (Robin DR400) is loaded with engines running, start remoteradiostack.exe
4. In remoteradiostack comm1 shows 133.10, stby shows 122.77.
5. Changed stby to 118.77
6. Clicked set on comm1, stby now shows 133.10, comm1 shows ---.--
7. Nothing happens in remoteradiostack after this, comm1 stays at ---.-- (Look likes it is not refreshing)
8. If I click on set again after a few minutes I get the crash.

Maybe I am using it wrong.

Hope this helps
John
