Post subject:  ACARS ATIS

While airborne on IFR flight, I requested pF3 ACARS ATIS of the destination airport which was around 150nM away. I received ATIS but when compared that with active sky (my weather engine), wind component and temperature was quite different. QNH was also different. Based on winds, the runway displayed on pF3 ATIS was also different.
There was a big difference in both ATIS. AS active sky is a weather engine instilling weather in sim, I use it for my runway planning.
Any reason why two ATIS requested at the same time are different?

Best wishes
Ash

I have absolutely no idea because you haven't included the debug_monitor.log file.

Please see the 'PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING' announcement at the top of the forum

Without a log it didn't happen!

Hello Ash,
to my knowledge AS updates the weather stations in sim only around the aircraft (don't remeber the approximate radius). I suggest to use the ATIS frequency by AS or request ACARS ATIS only in proximity of the destination (under 100 nm I often get matching data).
