Post subject: | Added airport - cannot be alternate? |
Hello again. I have been flying in Japan. Mt. Fuji Shizuoka (RJNS) is a new airport that was not included in FSX. I added it with an add-on scenery. For your reference the scenery (for FSX) can be found there: https://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=141094 It seems to work well with PF3 when I am flying to and from that airport. However if I try to select it as an alternate airport for a flight not involving it, I get told by PF3 that the airport doesn't exist. It turns out that runways.csv does not have that airport ICAO, even when I enable it in the scenery library and re-run the PF3 database update. Is this a known issue of PF3? Is there any way to make that airport an alternate? Add a manual entry to runways.csv? Attached is a log file just in case since the PF3 flight did not start until I ended up choosing a different airport as an alternate. Thank you! |

And you ran makerwys too? If you did and it's not in the runways.csv file you really need to report to Pete Dowson on his support forum. |

Good news. It seems I need to fully enable the airport in FSX. Simply having it in my Add-On library and checking and saving it in the FSX Config Editor are not enough - I thought only the first step was necessary. I need to also run FSX so the sim recognizes it, then quit it and run MakeRwy. I am all set now. ![]() |
