Hi Dave

Just done my first flight in a few months but noticed that I went from egph ground to tower than to dispatch then nothing for the remainder of the flight. Flight was my usual egph to Eham, usually I get told to contact Scottish centre then Manchester then London, Schiphol then Amsterdam approach.

Don’t think anything has changed, I did run the updates tonight. I also fly with MCE running and copilot seemed to stop communications as well, the red text at the top of the screen shows what I said but no response from him, I wonder if MCE has a little crash?

Sorry but I have absolutely no idea what the problem might be and no way of finding out as you haven't attached your debug logs from the pf3/logs folder.

Please see the PF3 Support and Reporting Problems post above

Ah ha, you dialled in an incorrect squawk.

When you received clearance you didn't dial anything...

By the time you were handed off to Departure you were still squawking 1200

Then ATC reminded you again...
Quote:
05/01/2021 23:42:23: 630 - Transcript: 'Helibus 32 Squawk 4635 '
At which point you dialled 4365 instead of 4625
Quote:

It's a wonder you didn't get a fighter escort! :D

🤣 wow lol, never fly when your eyes are closing.

While you have the logs, could you have a quick look at the TGS gauge, never seems to work at EGPH, l says active or something like that but doesn’t do anything. Only noticed it on edinburgh

Are you using the TGS2 gauge?

Very strange! It's almost af if it's not available. Please check in the main PF3 folder for TGS.EXE... it could well be your AV has removed it!

Yeah that’s the one I have, green icon called tgs.exe?

opps no thats the old one. I've found the new one now, didn't realise that was there in the main folder. will give that a try later.

Tried the TGS.EXE but it doesn't load any windows, screen blinks and nothing appears, did alt, ctrl, del and nothing noted in there either.. Is there something else I need to download?

The TGS.EXE in the main PF3 folder is the one that does all the work and gives you voice guidance and provides data for the TGS2.gau/dll gauge or the TGS_Display.exe standalone program. It doesn't display any windows and just runs in the background once you've been given taxi instructions. However, for your flight it didn't run. If the main TGS.EXE is not running then there will be nothing to display either for the gauge or the standalone display utility.

So, do you have TGS.EXE in the main PF3 folder?

Do you run PF3 in elevated Admin mode i.e right-click PF3.exe and select 'Runas Admin' or set up a shortcut to always run it as Admin?

AV's these days can be very finicky too... I use AVG and it can be a nightmare sometimes, always wants to tell me when a new program is running and as you can imagine on my development machine that's an ongoing event, so I turn that part of the AV off.
