I had a similar issue when I used PF3's own updater to update to 3.10 several days ago. The PF3 Display would show only the permanent key commands on the top and nothing on the bottom. I was not able to see any DEPT, DEST frequencies and so on (all were 0's). TGS Display wouldn't work either, but RemoteText worked. After my test flight, I just re-ran the installer that came with my original purchase and it fixed the issue. Now I am able to use the 3.10 and the updated PF3 Display normally.

I think it's possible I left TGS and PF3 Display running when I left the main PF3 application update itself. Anyway now I know what to try the next time something like this happens.

I tried redoing the install of the update and exact same result. I now am guessing that this newest version doesn't work with P3d version 3.5

PF3 Display works with any sim version ... if it doesn't 'connect' on your system it's because it's being blocked by your firewall of anti virus... that's it!

Would enabling port forwarding help bobsk8 for Remote Text?

I took a fresh copy of a working Pf3 today , again from my backup drive, and applied the update to it using the Cumulative update zip file rather than auto update.

I turned off my Webroot totally, no firewall, nothing webroot completely shut down.

I started P3D and then Pf3. Immediately I see I get no text box, that always appears when I start Pf3, Then I started PF3, and same as before, all zeros in frequencies plus two red indicators.

It is behaving exactly as I stated in my original post.

As I mentioned before... the new PF3 Display does NOT connect to PF3 until PF3 connects to FS. So in your example scenario it is working as designed :D

In options 2, on left side, do you have "Use PF Display" checked.

As Bob says, on the Options #2, Advanced Options, you need to check "Use PF3 Display". This is turned off by default because it uses a port, so it needs to be enabled if you want to use it.
