Dave

The installer ran the update but it's got corrupted somewhere along the line. I've downloaded the update separately and tried to run it but it's throwing errors and I've aborted. I can't find a link to the full product to re-download and start again. Please advise. i love all of the new features. Just a pity that EasyJet Europe didn't make it into the new Airlines. ;)

Best regards

Another Dave here!
When you say it threw up errors, what errors did you receive?
When i open PF3 .exe, i run as administrator then updated, what did you do?

Hi Dave

I think the error was 319 something to do with the flight plan. That was on the run done by the updater. I later downloaded the update and ran as administrator and I continually got errors Ignore/Retry and after about 5 I aborted as it wasn't looking good for a successful update. I need to uninstall and start again.

I have to assume you ARE applying the cumulative updates to aversion of PF3 3+ aren't you? Sorry for asking what might appear to be a silly question, but stranger things have happened in the past.

Next, the cumulative updates should most certainly install eb=ven over a bad install and thereby correct any issues. So please try again and remember to extract the installer from the zip file first and then right-click and choose 'Run as Administrator'

It would be most helpful if you could give precise details of the error message or better still provide a screen shot.

AFAIK it was V3. It tells me I now have V3.10.0 but I know that it didn't install correctly. When I try a manual install of the update it tells me repeatedly that it's having problems renaming files in my original directory. Running the App I get the Error 339 when I select a FP. Image attached.

Cheers

This one's easy enough to fix and I'm currently uploading a refreshed cumulative updates package with the hotfix applied, but for now just unzip the attached files into your main PF3 folder, then find the PF3_Register.exe in the main PF3 folder and right-click on it and choose 'Run as Administrator'. Leave it for 15 seconds, you won't see any messages, then start PF3 and the 339 error should not occur again when you hit 'Select a Flight Plan'

As for the other problems when running the manual install, I could take a look if you want to use TeamViewer and give me access to your system for 5 minutes?

Done as requested. The 339 error has now gone.

I'm fine with Team Viewer. I'm downloading P3D V5 at present so don't reboot my PC! :D

What do we need to do with TV?

Without using the complete download again things seem to be fixed. I've only tried PF3 connected on the ground but calls to Clearance and Ground are working well and the sound appears to be fixed. Was this in the update? If so - well done. I like it that I can request pushback when I decide rather than previously when it came straight after clearance. Again, if this is a new feature then great. I like it. Maybe I've just configured things slightly differently?

Anyway, I'm looking forward to getting airborne in a day or so to try it out fully.

I appreciate your great support.

Stay Safe

Rob
