I am having problems at EGNV (freeware scenery) where Tower and ground both have the same frequency.

I can contact clearance and ground (using VCP) and get my taxi instructions but then I never get passed to tower. Because the frequencies are the same I cannot manually select "tower" and request takeoff. Should I edit the AFCAD and give tower a different frequency ?

I can approach and land succesfully there, just not get takeoff clearance.

Peter

So are you saying nothing happens when you press key 6 which should contact the tower?

Hi Andy

When i try to request takeoff with "6", I get a radio check response from ground.

I'll have to let Dave answer this then as I'm not sure what's going on, I just wanted to confirm it wasn't user error :D

I tried altering the AFCAD to change the tower frequency but without success. I can do a flight by announcing I am taking the runway and then checking in with departure once airborne.

Should tower and ground frequencies be different ?

Please try the same flight again... once you get to the point where things are not going right you can disconnect and exit from PFE, then send me the debug_monitor.log file from the ...\PFE\Logs folder plus the Freq_Conversion.dat file from the ...\PFE\Data folder

Not too sure what to suggest here as this problem is caused by the airport scenery you're using that has both facilities using the same frequency. Why not try changing one of the frequencies in the AFCAD file then run MakeRwys and rebuild the PFE database
