Couldn't say Dave, but they have been the developer of the PFEtoXPlane plugin for at least as long as I have had it. (Someone called Ben, from "The FS++ Team" has always been the one to reply to any technical queries I have had).

Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs! I always thought the developer had long since stopped working on that plugin. I know Ben so will have to delve further, just out of interest

This was Ben’s reply to me.

Yes, it's something we are considering for a future update, if it's doable.

Good to hear you like PF3 and the plugin to run it in X-Plane.

It is possible to interact with PF3 realistically and using ATC Jargon via voice.

But would need Multi Crew X-Plane, our other crew simulation software that supports 23 complex planes. It does integration with PF3, working out which hotkeys to press based on your real world transmitted ATC messages.

You also get our co-pilot recorded voices to handle ATC when co-pilot is in charge.

Regards,

Ben
The FS++ team
So fingers crossed.

Excellent! (What a small world Dave!). I know Ben tried to get the plugin to work even more closely with PF3, but it was a big ask.. I think he gave up in the end. The 'holy grail' would be to have PF3 recognise incoming traffic (generated by the World Traffic3 plugin), but it would be a small miracle I guess to see that working. (At the moment PF3 always clears the user a/c onto the runway for takeoff, even when there is inbound AI traffic on (sometimes very) short final).
