Sorry but my only suggestion would be to do what you've done. Obviously ensure you stop all other programs before doing so, especially your virus checker and in particular any other security products you may have.

FDC installs and runs just fine under Win7 and I have it running here on my Win7 machine all the time

Just to add what Dave has said, make sure Windows Defender is fully switched off aswell,it runs in the background and can also interfere,i too have Windows 7 with FDC running no probs,

When you uninstalled did you also delete the FDC folder and any entry in the installshield folder regarding FDC,which you will have to turn on first in folder options.
Again with everything turned off re-install FDC,see how you go on.
When you setup FDC,did you adjust any settings,if so leave all defaults on and then adjust accordingly,do you have external soundcard,

Dear Dave; i tried again to install on new W7 and on an other partition with vista. No way it still the same. I left defaults settings and i've no external soundcard. but i've found a message in the black box of FDC stating "(FSUIP:3.480) Error in 'direct sound setup' N° 52 Desc. bad file name or number" I hope this will help to find a solution. Thks. Laurent

Latest version is 3.96 and there is an even later version in Pete's forum. 3.48 is extremely old and very much not supported.

Laurent,

As the other guys have said the first thing to do is update your FSUIPC to the latest version.

Also you're running FDC version 3.6 which again is very, very old and unsupported. The latest version is 3.11
