| Hello PMDG 747 v3 Flight from Amsterdam to Shanghai included 2 step climbs along the route. From the initial cruise level of 350 to 370 and 390. Took off from Amsterdam and climbed to 350. Set VCP to mode 3 and went to bed. VNAV and LNAV armed. Came back to the computer 2 hours before TOD and the ATC is nagging me to climb to FL370. Seems like my VCP was also snoozing. Am I doing something wrong here (other than sleeping on the job) or did I misunderstand what the MODE 3 does? WIN10 Pro 64-bit P3D v4 Thanks -Jon |

| Please try VCP mode 3 when you're awake as I don't think PF3 can change the AP ALT on the PMDG Sent from my mobile using Tapatalk |

| Roger that If that's the case, then mode 3 doesn't really help me. But I just noticed that one can set step climbs automatic through the FMC Thank you |

| Please bear in mind with such aircraft as PMDG the Autopilot doesn't do the work...you have too i'm afraid. So with climbs you have to set altitude manually. I have PMDG aircraft along with a few other high end and all times you the pilot has to set altitude. |

| The auto cruise auto step climbs worked for me. That's like simulating the other pilot taking control while the "main" captain gets some rest. Everything was good when I came back 2 hours prior to TOD |
