Regarding the chatter: There is no "canned" chatter in PF3, so all chatter is responsive to AI activity within your sim, and will depend on the amount of AI as well as the frequency you are tuned to. If there is AI activity in the area you should hear chatter that is appropriate for the frequency. Static AI (those sitting at the gate) do not generate chatter unless they are calling for clearance before departure.
