Post subject:  Ezeiza control, altimeter in inHg??

Hello everyone. In the two flights I've done since installing PF3 (SAEZ-SACO and then SACO-SABE), I've noticed that Córdoba control (correctly named in PF3) has a defined transition altitude of 6000 ft, with QNH in hPa. However, Ezeiza control (not named in PF3, just a generic FIR) have 18000 ft as transition altitude, but altimeter in inHg, as if Buenos Aires was located in the US...

I've set transition altitudes and altimeter pressures as follows:

And also I've checked "Use QNH instead of Altimeter for non-US". With both settings, I'm getting 18000 ft as TA (as expected), but altimeter settings are in inHg (instead of the expected hPa).

I'm sure I've done something wrong, but I can't find what. How can I fix this?

Can you post zip files of PF3\Flight\FPP directory. If you have flown since please repeat the offending flights and then post the zip as requested for each flight. So two zip files. We need to look at the *.json files. Dave will make the necesary correction to make the regions ICAO compliant and they will have the corrections in the next update.

As requested, please see attached a ZIP file with the contents of my content of my PF3\Flight\FPP folder. These are the only two flights I've done since purchasing.

Thank you for the logs, I have now corrected your issue and it will be in the next release which should be quite soon, allbeit there are only some minor changes to PF3.

I have that phenomenon in the area of Greece and in other areas, as well. Afraid I can't provide logs at the moment, though. Maybe after my next flight there.

If you can provide the logs and details about the area in which you were flying which you consider to be wrong, I will fix it.

I don't know if this may add noise, but I can recall Mexican and Colombian FIRs should be having this very same error I'm reporting. I mean, for PF3 being "as real as it gets", the error I'm getting in Ezeiza should actually happen in these two countries.

As per my above reply, if you supply the same logs I'll address the problem but without them I can't do anything.

Please do a flightplan that covers the suspect areas. Listen out for "point" instead of "decimal" etc. As far as transition levels go I think Mexico is 18,500ft. Columbia I don't know. Apart from that they are both ICAO and in all other respects should conform. So listen carefully and if you detect any FAA anomalies do a zip of your PF3\Flight\FPP directory and post it here. Then Dave can update the region.
