Hi,

since today I can't connect PFE to FSX.
When I try to connect to FSX there is a message: "IPC timed out all retries" and after that "Problem connecting to Flight Sim or Flight Sim not running".

Any Help? (of course FSX is running)

I can only assume by this that it did work previously. In which case what has changed on your system with regard flight sim?

Is FSUIPC still installed? Can you access it via the FS Addon menu? Have you got the latest FSUIPC installed?

yes it worked previously in Win7. FSUIPC is installed and I can access it via FS menu. And it's up to date.

I installed Win7 last week (parallel to my former VISTA) and of course in the moment there are a lot of changes in the system (new programs ...), but I'm not aware of changing something with regard to the FSX. But I'm not a PC-Expert.

Well you see if it worked before in Win7 there's no reason why it doesn't work now. The program cannot simply change by itself, which is why I asked if you'd installed or un-installed any FS related software.

Do you have any security type products running that might interfere with? Norton in particular is renowned for doing such things.

Hi Dave,

I did some work yesterday and reinstalled FSX and PFE. The first trial yesterday was terrible - the same error as before. Today a new trial and starting PFE as administrator - and it works!
Perhaps that was also the reason for the first problem. I don't know because I didn't look for that. And as I told you it worked previously.
But nevertheless, now it works and everything is good.

Excellent and yes, PFE should be run as 'Admin'
