During cruise the ASI will go to 0 for a moment...(this is with CS 757)...I'm working on this issue with CS and Active Sky... But...should the gear and flaps not come down above 12,000ft even with low speed? |

I have had this on some very odd occasions, like once in a blue moon... I put this down to the weather engine or the aircraft in question. |

Well, I am watching this thread carefully as I experience it about once per flight (about 90 minutes in) and it doesn't matter which aircraft. For me it could be REX weather, PF3 or FDC which are all running alongside FS2004. I don't have FDC actually controlling flaps and gear but I am immediately aware of this happening by hearing the calls for them. I have now learnt not to panic as normally that would indicate the aircraft is about to stall. I'm comforted I am not alone experincing this but haven't yet done any serious research into identifying the culprit. Unless it is a combination that is causing it I'm inclined to discount FDC as I have used that for years without issue. The other two are fairly recent additions. John |

In case of use (in eliminating FDC if nothing else) here are the logs for my last flight. If you want my PF3 logs, I can provide. John |

Well FDC detected your airspeed had dropped dramatically to 56 knots !!!

Quite. That's because the ASI drops to zero, and after about thirty seconds returns to normal. I can't really see that being caused by FDC. Nor by PF3. Thanks for looking at it. John |

Pitot heat is on? (assuming your aircraft has this) And if failures are modeled on the aircraft you're using: Actually working? Edit: Ah, a 757. Here pitot heat should enable automatically, but check the annunciator panel if any of the four pitot heat lights show a failure. |

Ah, don't mix me up with the OP. Sorry, I wasn't meaning to hijack. In my instance yes, pitot heat is on. If pitot heat was off the ASI would not improve until you switch it on. No failures modelled that I know of (for me it is on all aircraft) and all FS failures "off". John |
