Post subject:  Error 91
Due to a dead HDD, had to reinstall all programs for FSX including FDC2011. Have run into a problem never saw before.
I do use FD-Announcements taken from the CD. I renamed the files I used to the correct (Fd01.wav...etc) always worked before but now have run into the problem that when I hit the Ctrl \, the FD announcements do not work.
I looked at the log and find this;

I would suggest downloading and installing the cumulative updates from the forum... no need to uninstall anything.

I'm assuming when you installed FDC it was NOT into the C:\Program Files folder plus you turned your AV off during the install?

Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately not good news. tried the FDC accumulation file, no help. Then considered I installed program with a AV on, so redid it, after deleting all files for FDC.

Installed w/accum. This seems to have resolved the error 91, but still having same problem. Not sure what the NETPlay CT means. Am using default hotkeys, and have confirmed the combo is not used anywhere else.

So where exactly have you installed FDC? It looks like it's C:\Aerosoft\ ? That's absolutely fine but I would normally expect to see C:\Aerosoft\FDC

Actually it was installed in c:\Aerosoft, (nothing else in that directory). For argument sake, placed FDC into C:\Aerosoft\FDC, with Admin privilege. Did not help. Shame really as the program works fine except for the FD_User_Announcements. As mentioned before, FD01.wav through what I use FD13.wav are off the CD with the file name change. Checked the files, and they are good. I think it has something to do with the HotKeys as everything else works fine.
BTW the fdc_error.log this am now reads

Back to where I started again. Wish I knew what exactly these errors meant. Might give me a clue how to resolve.

If everything is working correctly it has to be something to do with the announcement files... at first I thought it was an install problem with the 91 error but since you say there's no other problem it can't be that. These files you're using are from the CD you say? And when you rename them you haven't got that option set in Win Explorer that hides file extensions have? I have seen it where once that option was turned off you could see the files were actually named FD01.Wav.Wav

Great catch. Sure enough I had fd01.wav.wav for all 13. Once I corrected it, all seems fine. (must be a win10 default for the hide extensions.)
