Arik Air does not appear in the airline list. Meridiana shows correctly in the airplane list but the callsign should be changed to Meridiana from Merair (Pfac731 group). Also, I found the .wav files for Air Libya (Pfac217 group) however the airline name does not appear in the list. These are airlines I happened to make flightplans for from the old set of FS9 "Hops Around the World" flights for use in P3D. JayGee |

Meridiana had the callsign "Merair" in the past, and this is recorded in the wav files. Since this airline ceased operation, one could argue that both callsigns could be valid, depending on the historical time you are simulating. If you want to show "Meridiana", you can edit PF3/captions.ini (make a copy of the original and modified file, so you know what to change after PF3 updates), but if you want to hear "Meridiana" you would need to edit more than 100 .wav files (e.g. using pfac972 "Trans Meridian", cut the Trans, append an "a" from somewhere else), which is probably more work than it is worth. Arik Air would need new .wav files, but you could search for a similar sounding one (A. K. Air? Ank Air?) and just change the text in captions.ini. You can find "Tibesti Air Libya" (seems to be the old name) in the drop down list. Feel free to change it in PF3/Data/pf3_callsigns.dat (make copies as mentioned above). Dave, maybe you can change this one? |

"Air Libya?" Gosh, I remember when it was called "Kingdom of Libya Airlines!" Flew to Gatwick on a Caravelle. |

That's a different airline ... Air Libya is TLR, Kingdom of Libya Airlines now is Libyan Airlines (LAA/Libair, or in PF3's VCP dropdown: Lybian Arab Airlines) Yes, that's a bit confusing ![]() |

I'd like to add SWISS to this list. Its still called SWISSAIR in PF3, even though it ceased to exist 15 years ago ![]() |

Before everyone gets carried away, you must realise what would be involved to add a new callsign. Every individual voice at the moment whether it is ATC or AI or user aircraft captain/co-pilot would need to be recorded with the new callsign. I don't think it is a feasible option. |

ah, it is only 238 wav files to edit ... just cut "air" from "swiss air", or "top" from "top swiss" ![]() |

I'm absolutely aware of the amount of work that is required for this. But this is a major carrier and the name changed 15 years ago. For a payware ATC tool that claims to be the most realistic out there i would expect this to be implemented correctly and no need to re-record all voice sets, just cut the "AIR" part from the existing SWISSAIR recording ![]() EDIT: Thomas just ninja'd me ![]() ![]() |

You can use editing tools such as Audacity to experiment with cutting and pasting wav files, but be sure to back up any files you plan to edit. |
