Post subject:  Not handeld over to Approach and Tower ?
Hi Together,

it`s me again :)

As you now i´m quite new to PF3 but till know i didnt manage to get handeld over to approach or tower ?

I made a flight from EGKK to EHAM and center handeld everything till i was down. but also then no switch to tower or ground.

On my return flight from EHAM to EGKK the same was about to happening but then i manualy switcht to tower frequency and pressed the necesary buttons.

Is this normal for PF3 ? Or is something wrong with my "flight" planing ? I have the Copilot Mode set to 3 ( Com, Radios and NAV)

You switched to Tower at 14:38:22, at that point you were only 4.5 miles away from the airport and still at an altitude of 4480 feet, with an airport elevation of 209 feet.
I haven't checked the charts, but I assume this is too high to catch the ILS glideslope for EGKK:

You were descending on a bit more than 1000 fpm, but have configured 450 fpm in your profile. But I assume PF3 can't help you with more excessive vectoring when flying a STAR, so you should either manually request an earlier descend, or reduce the waypoint altitudes after loading the flight plan.

Regarding not automatically contacting Approach: Transition altitude was 6000 feet, you manually tuned to approach when reaching 6116 feet, so this is basically the same problem: If you had been a bit lower, this should have worked out of the box.

But in the end you did the right thing by manually contacting Approach and Tower :)

ohhh maaaaaannnn :)

i knew it was on my side.

Actualy i´m on my way from EGLL to OMDB and when i don`t get a OOM i will report how it works this time :)

FS9 will get you there without an OOM don't worry!!!

Actualy i only have 300 MB VAS left and i´m over Romania :(

You can save and restart the flight at that point with PF3 if you kill the PF3.exe process in the windows task manager instead of regularly closing it.

Careful, for that to work you need to enable the corresponding autosave feature in PF3's options, which you currently have not!

FS9 Voliberista? Where have you been all these years? :lol: Do you still have to put the discs in?

Incidentally, I will concede that even with P3Dv3.4 the scenery roll out in FS9 was still better.
