| Hi, My flight plan shows a cruise altitude of 10000 but Control keeps asking me to "descend and maintain 3 thousand". Can you assist me to find the cause please? I am using PF3 latest version with MCE in P3D v3.4 and FlyInside if that helps. If you want me to upload a log can you provide some instructions for how to do that please? Thank you |

| Create a new folder on your desktop. Does not matter what it is called but the name of your flight is a good idea. From your PF3 installation copy the two folders "Flight" and "logs" and save them to the folder on your desktop. Then right click the new folder and select "send to ....compressed (zipped). Then when posting, select the button "browse" and select the zipped folder from your desktop. |

Go into PF3's logs folder. zip all the files with the latest date and attach the log.zip file to your next post. If you have flown since then re do the flight and create the zip file. |

| I started from YDOC cold and dark. It is an uncontrolled airport. I took off and during the climb made contact. Maybe that has something to do with it? |

Yes. that is the problem. You should contact FSS while still on the ground to open your flight plan, it will give you an initial altitude and the departure frequency you should contact after taking off. |

| Wow! Thank you for responding so quickly. I am pretty new to this. I have to work out what to say to FSS to open the flight plan as I am using MCE. Which PF3 key would opening the flight plan correspond to? Knowing that would help me to work out the phrase to trigger it in MCE. |

| "Advisory (or "radio") <callsign> request(ing) to open my flightplan" should work with MCE. Also the original PF3-phrase: "radio <callsign> would you please open my VFR (IFR) flightplan at this time." should work now with MCE. If you have problems contact the MCE support for the latest grammar files. They recently adjusted their corresponding grammar on my input. |
