Hi,
I'm fairly new to PFE, and having really good results with my first half a dozen flights. I usually check, beforehand, the ILS frequencies and heading for the runways at a destination airport, and set frequency and course for the runway I'm being vectored to in advance (so far the choices have been very simple).

As I flew into LFPG, the first time I and my trusty co-pilot had approached a very large airport, I was assigned 8L, and saw, to my surprise the frequency was already tuned, and course set. In PFE, does my co-pilot tune the frequency for me, as soon as the controller assigns us to the ILS at a specified runway? I had understood he handled only the comms.

He/she certainly does set the NAV1 too
