There are still many American ATC(no disrespect) working in Turkey, Eastern Europe and even in the UK(EGCC). It was improved after the update but sadly not fixed.

I'm not aware of any accent issues in the UK, perhaps you could include you log file and point out where the problem occurred so I can take a look.

Sorry Dave I have made several journeys since I had an American ATC at EGCC if that makes a difference. What actual log files are you referring to ?

The debug_monitor.log found in the PF3\Logs folder. Just zip and attach it to your post if it happens again.
