Hi Dave,

I have version 2.11.1 installed. What do I do if I don't have Xinstall3.exe in my main PFE path? Does this do something to prep the software for FSX? I checked and can't find it to download.

I had a PFE issue last night running FSX. PFE worked fine until I contacted ground ready to taxi. Then the program turned off, like disappeared from memory. So I fired it up again and went through CD and pushback, and it again crashed after I contacted ground to taxi. So I switched over to Radar Contact for that flight until I could check things. I did fly a short flight with PFE using FS9 earlier last evening and it worked fine. I don't think I rebooted in between, not that that should have anything to do with it, as perfect as Windows 7 is. 8^)
By the way, both debug_monitor.log and old_debug_monitor.log files show the same thing:

Hi Dolph,

I need to see the complete log but it looks like there was a problem with the airport/runway/taxiway data.

Have you tried just rebuilding the database after running makerunways.

I didn't try to rebuild the database, but now that you mention it, I ran that on the FS9, not on FSX. That may be it. Seems that when I switched back and forth some time ago, I had to rebuild the database to use FS9 then rebuild to use FSX! Wow, thanks, I bet that fixes it. Will try tomorrow.

Is it mandatory to rebuild database? (infact I got a similar message switching from fs9 to fsx and fs9 again with PFE)

1) for fs9 if you want to play with fs9?

then

2) for fsx if you want to play with fsx?

and

3) again rebuild that for fs9 if you want to play again with fs9? and so on?

thanks

You only need to build the database once for each simulator and then every time you add a new/changed airport to that particular simulator, there is no need to keep rebuilding just if you are swapping between sims.
