Post subject:  No "Did you copy" ? and other things...

Hi,

1/Please, is it possible to add this feature ("Did you copy ?") when for whatever reason we fail/forget to answer or acknowledge to Atc ? This really missing !

2/Also I wrote this post about no real time Atc monitoring altitude and cap : viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1813 in February 2016.
Dave responded with: "Thank you for your feedback. I will ensure your suggestion is added to our list of things to address in a forthcoming release :)"

I think these two features are really important. They are present in the native Atc, VoxAtc and P2Atc and I guess in real. Do not get me wrong, I like very much also PF3 !

Thanks and Regards,

Richard Portier

Actually "Did you copy" does exist already. So Dave needs to check under what circumstances it is triggered.

That said It should only occur if you are using a mode where PF3 is expecting an actual response from you either by you pressing a hotkey or via voice recognition. Even so it's not a common occurence unless ATC is extremely busy and requires an immediate response. Or you disappear off the radar and ATC sends repeated messages that are not responded to.

As for altitude I know Dave has corrected a bug whereby you were asked to climb to a lower altitude! I have my traffic advisories set to 4 NM lateral deviation and 1,000ft vertical.

...Or if the pilot answered late or forgot to acknowledge due to excessive workload and more generally as soon as circumstances require a response to an instruction given by ATC

I think there is a misunderstanding :) . Your answer has nothing to do with my question/request as for that matter when you answered me in February. You speak of traffic advisories. I refer to the case where you deviate from + -50/70ft above or below the altitude or flight level assigned by ATC.
Regarding the course deviation: it does not operate even if I put "Airway Deviation Distance"=1. Normally ATC is supposed to know if I deviate left or right from the airway between two points and correct me quickly. Actually It don't whatever the value entered in "Airway Deviation Distance".

Please, if possible I would have also liked a reply from Dave about these issues.

Thank you in advance,

Hi again,

I have to make a major change concerning the "deviation course" issue in my previous post. For the first time ATC reported a deviation from airway between 1 nm and 2 nm. So, it seems works like expected, great ! ATC says me to check my position and so...

At this subject (not a big deal anyway), please, would it be possible to ATC to give the correct heading to rejoin the airway and "resume your navigation" instruction when all is fine ?

Except this solved issue, all in my previous post is still relevant.

Thanks and Regards,

Richard Portier
