Post subject:  Flightplans not loading - Need at least 1 waypoint

For the first three flights I flew using PF3 flight plans (all created with Plan-G) loaded correctly and flights were made with no problem. Starting with the 4th flight plan I am getting a message saying "You must have at least one waypoint in the flight plan". Since nothing had changed in Plan-G I deleted that flight plan and re-created it in P3D V3.2. The flight plan still will not load in PF3. Viewing the last loadable flight plan and one not loading in Wordpad, other than the pertinent data for each one, I do not see any differences in the layouts. Flight plan "0398 - ..." loaded, flight plan "0399 - ..." does not. Here are the files:

Both flights are simply ILS direct from one airport to another, obviously the destination airports are waypoints.

There was no error .log of any type to provide.

Thanks for your help.

The information shows that your fpl was origin to destination without any intermediate waypoints. So no PF3 correctly won't accept that. The reason being that it is an invalid flight plan. Use something like http://onlineflightplanner.org/ and you will have better luck.

pf3 is dependent on way points...i have voiced my objection about this because way points vary greatly between simulations, and i would value the program being more bullet proof.

I have more than 300 flightplans and PF3 works correctly with all of them. So I have no objections at all! Therefore from my point of view PF3 is as bullet proof as one can get!

This ATC programme has the best support!
And compared with others where there is little or no support or promises that never seem to materialise.
So yes PF3 is pretty cast iron I would say in comparison.

oustanding support...but i feel the program would be stronger if it were not way point dependent...as the original post indicates

The program needs at least one waypoint.

In all the years I have been simming, I have never created an IFR flightplan without waypoints. I dont ee what the issue is here.

respectfully, i would not be taking up so much time on the forums if the program used distance to airport rather than waypoints to determine data...
