I'm trying to get the MCE Voice Recognition to work, but am stuck at the clearance already. It's weird to say the least. One example from Dublin EIDW. Frequencies in EIDW are, as confirmed in PF3, 121.87 for Delivery, 121.8 for Ground. Without MCE, so with Pilot Voice in PF3, I get the following clearance : - cleared to XXXX, fly runway heading, climb and maintain altitude XXXX (or FL XX), squawk XXXX - readback correct - contact ground 121.8 so far, so good. Now with MCE. I start PF3, load the flight plan, connect to FS and start MCE. PF3 get recognized correctly. I listen to ATIS on 124.52. And speak my clearance request : Clearance, good morning, Callsign, with information XXX, ready to copy. Gets recognized correctly as can be seen in the green text window of MCE. The clearance I get is as follows : - Callsign, cleared to XXXX, fly runway heading, climb and maintain altitude XXXX (or FL XX), squawk XXXX, contact departure on 123.6 Now, whatever I readback, I never get any "readback correct" answer. Usually there are several options, because MCE interprets them, e.g. Copy, Callsign, cleared to XXXX as filed, climb altitude XXXX, squawk XXXX or cleared to XXXX as filed, fly runway heading, climb altitude XXXX, squawk XXXX or using exactly the response PF3 uses for the AI planes or exactly the readback from PF3 as above. Interesting question : Why do I get a useless departure frequency in the clearance ? This facility doesn't exist in Dublin ? Strange, the AI planes do not get this departure frequency in the clearance. Maybe this is part of the readback confusion ? Ah, and my ATIS is sort of empty. Visibility, altimeter, all given as "0" Mike |

I haven't looked at your logs (I have no rar unpacker on this computer), but some comments: - MCE often sends hotkeys 0 and 1 together when contacting new frequencies, I think to have the generic check-in (0) and the special check-in for landing (1) covered. Sometimes this confuses PF3. - I have seen ATIS with many values at 0 when I do not start and connect my weather engine (in my case FSXWX) before connecting PF3. - PF3 does not say "contact departure on 123.6", but "Departure 123.6" or "Departure frequency 123.6", so basically the first thing you have to contact after take-off. From what I could see in a quick web search, this is real-world procedure. Tower will tell you this frequency again, but this time as "Callsign Contact departure on 123.6", i.e. this time you should readback and then tune to this frequency. |

Hi Thomas, Ok, thanks for the heads up regarding the departure frequency. I'll also ask MCE support. I attach the logs in ZIP format Mike |

In your log only hotkey 0 was used, not hotkey 1 (good), but I assume that was the log without using MCE. And then you disconnected:

Ooops, sorry for the confusion. Here is the logfile again, this time with MCE. As described previously, initial clearance request via voice recognized. But no change for readback the received clearance, four different attempts failed. Did MCE send something wrong, or did it send something at all ? Mike |

You (or MCE) need to press the roger/readback key. Default is something like Ctrl-Shift-Backslash, maybe you want to change that to something easier to type. |

Yes, I know, i have already redefined the Hotkey #10 to a more accessible one on my German keyboard. Works fine without MCE. As I guessed already, with voice recognition this Hotkey #10 needs to come from MCE, but it doesn`t for whatever reason. So I have to find out with the MCE guys what goes wrong. Thanks for confirming that. Mike |

Hmm, keycode 221 (from your new log ... your old log still had the default key), that's usually the "]}" key. Did you get that by pressing "AltGr-9" (i.e. "]" on a German keyboard) or "+" (same position)? Maybe MCE is confused by that. |

Wow, you have found the problem ! So apparently MCE can neither handle the default CTRL-SHIFT-\ nor my first attempt (the ` key on my German Laptop). I changed this now to SHIFT-c and it works. Thanks a lot !! |
