I'm sorry you have experienced such problems and I can only say I have not been informed of such problems in the past. I will contact MyCommerce and ask them for an explanation and will let you know what they say... if anything!

Try to find out the download address (in your browser or using "netstat -f"), then see if ping or tracert to this address shows any anomalies.

Other idea: Do other downloads of zip files that are >2GB work fast? Maybe a local virus scanner trying to check and choking?

Just to say that my download took about 50 mins, I'm running a virgin media 200Mbs Internet connection. I have downloaded other files like Orbix scenery and they downloaded way faster and some were larger as far as I recall.

HI

All other downloads that evening worked fine - no virus scanner issues etc. It definitely was due to a slow connection from the supplier MyCommerce. Very nostalgic though, it was like being back in 1995 trying to download a 1mb file :)

Just installing the program now so hopefully will get a go on it tonight.

As for MyCommerce, I will certainly think twice about using them again - two messages sent to their 24/7 helpline.....nothing heard back
