Post subject:  ATC read backs demo version

Good morning,

Just watched the "First Impressions/Review" video and heard the read backs being given in the demo version. I do not get any read backs by ATC in the demo. I assumed they simply weren't available in the demo because you can't pick a pilot voice. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
dave

You need to select an airline in Options #1.
(it was preselected for me, but this problem has occurred for others, too)

Thanks for the quick reply!!
I had an airline picked on one occasion and an aircraft (beechcraft) picked on another but no read backs. Nevertheless I will have another look at the hotkey section of the manual and go back and try it again.
Thanks

Researching the manual and I think I need a little clarification. I need clarification on the read back key; the \ key.

Under section 12.1:
"Eg. For Virtual C-Pilot mode use Ctrl+Shift+V but for initial check-in with
ATC you only need to use the ZERO key and to Roger ATC you only need to
use the '\' key."

Under section 12.2
"Hotkey Ctrl + Shift + =
You would use this key to ask ATC to 'Say Again' should you ever need them
to repeat their last instruction to you."

Under section 12.2.3
"Hotkey '\'
This key is used to request ATC to repeat (say again) their last instruction to
you." No mention that it is the Roger key with read back just another 'say again' key.
This section also says that the key can give you trouble and can easily be changed. "

So going to section 7 to change the key to see if it helps, it shows the Roger/readback key as
Ctrl+Shift+\. Checking my Hotkeys options under Options#1 it also shows it set as Ctrl+Shift+\.

So my questions .... Ctrl+Shift+\ or \ ? Should I change the hotkey to \?

Thoughts?

Hi Dave,

I noticed that too in my topic : viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1846

At this time there is no new about that. May be it will be fixed in a new maintenance release !?

Problem solved for me.

The roger/read back would not work for me set as / or CtrlShft /
So I changed it to the space bar in the Hot key options.
That did it! Roger/Read back started working.
Interestingly this also solved my other discussion and my TGS started working!
So I'm all set.
In my opinion best ATC product out there right now and with the great product support
I have experienced I think there will be even greater things added to this software
in the future.
Off to purchase!
Dave

Sorry I was talking about a different problem. My fault, I misread the title of the topic.
